Or, why Queen of Games sometimes takes forever to update.
I plan to have new Queen of Games pages up this Friday. I know I'm really bad about consistantly updating Queen of Games, and there are a couple of reasons for that. At any given time I am working on anywhere from 4-10 projects that are in various states of completion. For example right now I've got two original web comics (Sorcerer's Apprentice and Midnight Menagerie) an ongoing Fan Fiction, a job doing character designs and sprites for a game, and currently, a new cosplay I want to debut at Denver Comic Con. And on top of that Queen of Games. Why do I do so many projects at once? Particularly since I have such bad health? Partially, I need to have multiple projects as a way to motivate myself. If I try to buckle down and work on one thing at a time, it gets tedious and I get bored, so things go even slower. Another has to do with my health. Some steps are more or less plausible based off of how I am feeling. On days when my back is killing me, it's easier to sit and type with my laptop. Yay! That means new fan fiction updates. Oh crap, I only slept for an hour and a half last night? Whelp, that means panel layout because that takes next to no thinking! And so on and so forth.
The other factor is based off of money. Because I am disabled, but currently not on disability (this is what happens when you have a difficult to diagnose autoimmune disease and a series of doctors who seem like they've never seen a real human before) that means my only sources of income is the rent I get from my mom and the pittance I get from commissions and ad revenue. Since Queen of Games doesn't get ad revenue (it's based off a copyrighted property and I don't want to run into the migraines Little Kuriboh seems to constantly be dealing with) Queen of Games is literally last on my list of priorities. It's not that I don't love the series, or the characters, or that I don't have fun working on it (most of the time). It's just I have kooky hobbies like eating and having running water, thus what pays gets worked on first. So if you're ever wondering why 'so and so' series is updating before Queen of Games, or why some projects go MONTHS without updating, this is why.

Gallery Purge
UPDATE: While DeviantArt added the 'optout' for all of a person's gallery, because this wasn't something THEY IMPLEMENTED FROM THE BEGINNING. I am still deleting my most of gallery on Monday. Hey all, just when I think DA couldn't get any worse, now they're allowing AI systems to cull our galleries for their datasets unless you opt out EACH. INDIVIDUAL. PIECE OF ARTWORK. That is going to take forever, so I ain't doing it. I'm going to be deleting like 90% of my gallery, especially all fan art and drawings that are more than 3 years old and aren't related to current projects so I can easier opt out what remains. If there are any images that are near and dear to your heart, you have until Monday November 14th 2022 to right-click-save-as to get a copy of it. If you want to see any additional artwork, you can follow me on Tumblr: http://bwillettsketches.tumblr.com or check out my Ko-Fi (where most of the galleries are free to look at) http://www.ko-fi.com/bwillettcomics
Where in the world was Bwillett?
Hey everyone! You're probably wondering why I haven't been posting art. Did I go on hiatus? Quit art? None of the above! I've actually been more active now than ever. Midnight Menagerie is still ongoing and I've been doing a new series called The Final Boss's Son Loves the Protagonist. So why have I not been posting art here? A few reasons. Between all the social networking stuff I do, and not having internet service, I've been saving my limited time to use the services that get the most feedback, which has mostly been Twitter, Webtoons, Global Comix and Discord. So DA has been always triaged as dead last. Also, because of recent Cryt* nonsense I've been a bit hesitant to use DA because their NFT theft 'protection' is the Admin giving over your personal data over to Open Seas for them to take down stolen art. It's made it hard to support them because of that. I've actually seriously considered straight up taking down my account because of it. I still intend to clean up my gallery
Midnight Menagerie comes back next week
Hey all, because I don't have internet at home and covid is a right bastard, I haven't been able to get online much without taking a lot of risks. The good news is I'll be able to use my friend's place again so I'll be able to start posting new pages again next week. I'll also have more info on my game, Kaiju Crush which will be coming out in April
Midnight Menagerie Returns...on Patreon!
Hey all! Midnight Menagerie is back. The newest chapter, Beast of the 17th Green is live, that is IF you are a patron on my Patreon account: http://www.patreon.com/BwillettComics For just 2 bucks a month you can start reading the newest chapter and new pages as they are added over the next few months. The pages will eventually be offered for free...but not for a while as my guest comic, Kaiju is ongoing for a few more weeks. Being a patron has other benefits as well as I release exclusive sketches, artwork, videos and behind the scenes info on all my projects, from Midnight Menagerie, Sorcerer's Apprentice and my upcoming game, Kaiju Crush I hope you guys can contribute!
