Tomorrow is the big day, the biggest anime convention in Colorado and once again I'm going to be in the Artist Alley.
What's nice about having now had 2 other AA appearances under my belt is that my process is a lot more streamlined. Last year I was stressed as hell but this year I'm super chill. All my supplies are ready, my merch is set and I've just some minor things to take care of (charging batteries, putting together clothes, etc.) I'm pretty happy about the whole situation though I really hope that I do better in sales than last year. I didn't do badly, but I was no where near selling out either. Cons are certainly fun, but it's still a job I'm trying to scrape together income for.
The one snag I'm worried about is the fact that it's been raining like crazy for the past few days and the weather is supposed to rain pretty much the entire weekend. When you sell products made out of paper, that's not a good thing. I'm also largely without table lackeys this year because most of the people I know are doing all their own things. I was barely able to snag rides really, so I'm sorta pressing my luck. I think I can get somebody to watch my table for an hour or two so I can scour the dealer's room, but beyond that I'm pretty much going to be married to my table.
At my table I'm going to have prints, copies of Sorcerer's Apprentice v.1, preorders for v.2, previews of Midnight Menagerie print version and chibi sketch cards for 5 bucks a pop.
If you're going, please stop by and say hi because I love realizing real live humans like my stuff and not just internet commenters who I'm beginning to think are simply very advanced pieces of self-aware AI software
