It's the 10th anniversary of Cardcaptor Torika and to celebrate I'm going back to my roots. This is a very loose interpretation of the very first cover from the first issue. Done in Copic markers and for once I actually managed to fairly well emulate Clamp's style.

:3 she looks great. honestly I've been curious about that series. I've only see the cartoon and only a few episodes and considering English dubs I likely don't honestly know anything about it ^^;

Well, the dub did cut out quite a bit of the original series (mostly the same gendered pairings a la Sailor Moon's 'cousins' and scrambled the order) but the quality of voice acting wasn't bad. The original series is very cute and positive and a lot of fun adventure.

Wait, it's been ten years??

Whoa, it sorta doesn't feel like it, even more so to the person who read them! Looking back of the first cover to this...Ahman, memories of a lil'me reading it and going "I wanna draw like this!".

Awman, good job on this, it looks like it was softly coloured, much like the covers of, well, CardCaptor Sakura.

Mwahaha! Victory. When I first did the series that was what I was going for. And yes, it's been ten years. Well, ten years in September. I was sixteen when I first posted the series and I'm going to be 26 this year so....good lord I feel so old now.
